Enrolment Process

At Horizons College, we aim to make the enrolment journey clear, supportive, and welcoming. Our process is designed to ensure the best possible fit for each student and their parents/carers.

  1. Attend a Campus Tour

All prospective students and their parents/carers are warmly invited to join a College tour. This is a chance to:

  • Learn about our values and expectations
  • Meet our staff and see our facilities
  • Ask questions and consider whether Horizons is the right fit for the student’s learning needs
  1. Submit an Application

If you decide Horizons feels right, the next step is to complete our Enrolment Application Form and return it with supporting documentation:

  • Student’s birth certificate (proof of identity/residency)
  • Parent/carer proof of identity
  • Recent school reports
  • Any relevant documentation regarding educational or learning needs

There is no application fee. Submitting an application begins the enrolment consideration process, but it does not guarantee a place. Applications are carefully reviewed to ensure Horizons can meet the student’s learning needs.

  1. Attend an Interview

Once the application has been reviewed, we will invite the student and their parents/carers to attend an enrolment interview with College staff. This meeting provides an opportunity to:

  • Discuss the student’s educational needs and our capacity to support them
  • Explore shared values and expectations
  • Consider how the student can contribute positively to the Horizons community

Where additional support may be required, we will work with the student and their parents/carers to identify adjustments and, if needed, request further reports to ensure the right arrangements are in place.

  1. Receive an Offer of Enrolment

Following the interview, the College will confirm whether a placement can be offered. Offers are made where we are confident the student will benefit from enrolment at Horizons and that we can provide the right support for their success.

  1. Confirm Your Enrolment

To secure a place, parents/carers are asked to:

  • Return the signed Enrolment Contract
  • Complete and return the Resource Levy payment form
  • Provide any additional requested documentation
  • Pay the Enrolment Confirmation Levy (non-refundable and credited to the school account)

Once these steps are complete, the student’s place at Horizons College will be confirmed.
